What a Year This January Has Been

Oh, this first month of 2026, has knocked me over. Currently I am sick and I grappled with personal issues the entirety of the month. While I always want to focus on the good, the positive, it can get difficult when life gets more and more complicated as the years go by.

I am learning to enjoy less time on social media and more time doing “offline” stuff to reduce mental strain. This includes reading (lots of it!), organizing, getting creative with my outfits, meeting new and old friends, exercising, and of course spending time with my pets. It is so good to spend time in the real world but not seeing the news. (I learnt long ago that reading the news everyday does nothing but stress me out.)

This was the end of January at the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia. May your days be as bright as this.

While life can bring a lot to the table which can be heavy to carry, I keep reminding myself of how excellent my body does in keeping me alive and healthy. I also think of how immensely fortunate I am in many, many ways.

There is nothing a little bit of gratitude and some giving to others cannot solve. I try to remember that I do not amount to a speck of dust in the universe and there is nothing really out there in my control. So we try to keep our side of the street clean and hope for the best in everybody.
