Things I Am Looking Forward To

Some days can feel like life is just a monotonous string of events with nothing to awaken the spirit. I have been feeling a bit heavy recently but while that is normal in life, I want to be more proactive about making good things happen. In January, I did set out with some goals for my personal life. I wanted to meet someone new, have a couples date, dress fabulously everyday, write four blog posts and read four books.

I did way more than that! The only thing I didn't do was write blog posts. We met our new neighbours, went out with another couple, an old acquaintance I never met in person, read 8 (!) books, and dressed as well as I could everyday. In February, I am looking forward to rest. There was travel at the end of January and I am a bit exhausted.
In February, I am intending to:
Sleep before 11PM
Go on at least 15 walks
More time at home
Writing 4 blog posts
Skip alcohol and refined sugar
Journal at least 20 days
Meditate right before sleep

The one thing I want to stop and I am struggling with is phone use right after waking up in the morning and before going to sleep. I need to get back to my morning routine of reading and journaling with tea. Consuming short-form content is bad for my anxiety long-term even though it feels very good in the moment.

These were all such lovely goals and I loved reading about how you wanted to approach February in a beautiful way with dressing up and more journaling 🩵 I always remind myself in the moments when I don’t always accomplish what I want that it’s an imperfect practice but the important thing is not perfection, it’s to just keep showing up 😊
