I don't know if you knew me as a teenager but if you did, you would know that I did not wear jewellery then, applied little to zero makeup, and dressed in a lot of colours. A lot of things have changed in the past few years and one of those things is that I have started paying more attention to my clothes. I am enjoying the process of adding and curating my wardrobe for each season.

As I have already written, I am trying to dress more feminine. That means adding more dresses, skirts, floral prints, and feminine silhouettes in my trousers and tops. I still adore jeans but lately, my dressing inspiration has been looking a little more like this:

I want to continue using all the items I own, remove everything that doesn't fit, flatter, or define me, and only buy things that work with the rest of the pieces in my wardrobe.

The last and biggest lesson: accessories! I am leaning into ALL the jewellery. The dainty, the statement, and everything else in between. One thing I need to work on is changing my jewellery once a week. I end up wearing the same things for weeks because I do not make time in the morning to go through my safe and get the items that are stored. But I can definitely do that once a week and make it a priority.

My other favourite ways to accessorise are with scarves, bags, sunglasses, and shoes. One day I will also add baseball caps (for casual days) and beach hats (for beach days).

What a joy being a woman is!
