A Poem of Hope

I read the poem below on a Saturday morning and thought it carried the sweetest sentiment. I am not one for long, winding poems (I am a doom-scroller in recovery, after all) and so found this to give me the exact hope and pleasure I needed that morning.

An Epilogue

I have seen flowers come in stony places

And kind things done by men with ugly faces,

And the gold cup won by the worst horse at the races,

So I trust, too.

- John Masefield
